I love to buy new decks. But, I don't always have the time to study each one to become proficient at what makes it different, deeper, or more insightful than the standard RWS deck.

With over 80 decks in my current collection, some have been waiting on the shelf a long time for me to dive into using them to learn their secrets.
The deck I've had the longest in this picture is the Enchanted Tarot by Amy Zerner and Monte Farber. I bought their first edition back in the 1990's and even though I haven't really used it, I decided I wanted to buy the 30th Anniversary edition last year.

Over the years, I've used many of Amy & Monte's other divination systems; the Karma Cards, Oracle of the Goddess, Cupid Cards, The Healing Cards. It's like I'm discovering The Enchanted Tarot anew with this new and improved deck. As you can see, Amy is a Collage Fabric Artist. I also like that their Court cards use Prince & Princess instead of Page & Knight. Thoth and Rhorig decks also use this same convention. Recently, I decided to use The Enchanted Tarot for 3 clients who arrived together to each get a reading and it worked like a charm, especially since they all had questions about their love lives. It's a gentle, lovely, romantic deck, and it's even a bit whimsical.
My most recent acquisition from this Dynamic Duo of Divination is the newly released (May 2025) Vision Board Oracle including more Fabric Collage Artwork by Amy.

I've acquired many Pagan/Witchcraft/Medieval decks over the years and love the artwork in all of them.

I think The Druidcraft by Will Worthington and The Rose Tarot & Medieval Enchantment Tarot by Nigel Jackson are the cream of the crop. So, I'm going to keep these handy and look for more opportunities to use them. I have had accurate readings with DruidCraft, but I'm afraid the Nigel Jackson decks are better for studying Hermeticism and Alchemy than for doing readings.
I haven't even begun discussing the relatively new decks to my collection: The Star Tarot by Cathy McClelland (a modern RWS/Thoth/TdM combo), The Chrysalis Tarot (Stories and Storytelling), Golden Tarot by Kat Black (uses Collages of early Renaissance and late Middle Ages artwork). I didn't think I liked collage decks, but this one and the Fabric Collage decks are growing on me. I also have the Voyager Tarot by James Wanless. It's a modern collage deck that's in my collection, but I'm not really drawn to work with it at this time. The Wild Unknown Tarot has totally non-standard images that go deep into symbolic archetypal wisdom. Music and Song references can be found in both The Rhythm & Soul Tarot and The Grateful Dead Tarot. And, finally, the Allcento Tarot by Michael Auger combines TdM, RWS, Astrology (Planets & Signs), and the Virtues for a 100 card Tarot Deck. Awesome!! I'll be doing deep dives on some of these decks in future blogs.
And, last but not least, it's August 2025 and my birthday is happening later this week. To commemorate such an important personal anniversary, there is a specific Tarot deck with two associated Oracle decks that I am going to devote myself to working and journaling with beginning this month; The Relative Tarot for journaling and work with one's ancestors. I'm going to be diving deep into my Ancestral heritage and how to communicate directly with them. I know they are around me when I need them. Wish me luck!!! By next year, I'll be able to use these decks to do Ancestral Readings for YOU!!
